This afternoon we went to a Techno Muzik Fest with my English speaking cousin Daniel*. My grandparents live in a village right outside of the city Fulda, called Küzell. The fest was at the Gasthof Florenberg Biergarten which is about a 10 minute walk from my grandparents apartment. It was quite a sight. Brooke and I both enjoyed most of the music-but only I engaged in the arm and leg flailing dance moves Example of Techno Style Dancing. We met a few of Daniel's friends who were delighted to exercise their English with us. Some of them were easier to understand than others. Why not and oh, never-mind were the popular English phrases of the day.
*just because he speaks English does not mean he is familiar with all words and/or phrases sometimes making communication an adventure that can be quite comical.
Funniest conversation excerpt of the afternoon:
Brooke: Don't get your panties in a wad.
Daniel: Nothing is in my pants! Not nothing. I will not explain to my cousin and her friend what is there. Everything is fine in my pants!
